It’s official! Teresa Giudice will be competing on the upcoming 31st season of Dancing With the Stars.
Just over a month after marrying husband Luis Ruelas, the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member will be taking to the ballroom with partner Pasha Pashkov. And, on Thursday morning’s episode of Good Morning America, Teresa opened up about her new role, revealing that her youngest daughter, 13-year-old Audriana Giudice, offered her some great advice.
“She’s like, ‘Mommy, don’t be scared. Have fun. Most important: Have fun, feel your partner’s energy.’ And she’s like, ‘Dance like it’s your last time dancing… Give it your all.’ That’s what she said. And I was like, ’Thank you.’ I love watching her on stage and shine so I hope I do the same for her,’” Teresa revealed on the September 8 episode.
Teresa then revealed that after being approached about the potential position on the new season of DWTS, she reached out to her Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip co-star, Kenya Moore, who was featured on the 30th season of the dancing competition.
“I was like, ‘How is it? Should I do it?’ She’s like, ‘Yes, you should definitely do it.’ She’s like, ‘You’re already in good shape but you’re gonna get in even better shape. But she’s like, ‘It is hard work but I know you can do it.’ So I’m gonna give it my all,” she stated.
Following the exciting news, Teresa’s RHONJ co-star and friend, Jennifer Aydin, took to her Instagram page with a clip of her own.
“Congratulations to [Teresa Giudice] for [Dancing With the Stars],” she wrote in the clip’s caption. “Let’s all get ready to vote!!”
She then appeared on her Instagram Story with an additional message.
“Congratulations [Teresa Giudice],” Jennifer shared. “Break a leg.”
Danielle Cabral, who is expected to appear on the upcoming 13th season of RHONJ in a full-time role, also shared a clip of the DWTS announcement, posting the snippet on her Instagram Story with a message telling Teresa, “Letsssss gooooo,” and “Go get it.”
